Surya was founded to solve a problem we'd lived ourselves - utility-scale solar construction still runs on disconnected tools, when the industry building the world's clean energy infrastructure deserves better.
Our story
Surya began as a response to a problem seen firsthand on real construction sites: progress, materials, and quality data trapped in spreadsheets, paper forms, and tools that don't talk to each other - while timelines slip and the people doing the work take the blame.

Founded in August 2023, Surya has grown from an idea into a digital twin platform trusted on live utility-scale solar builds across Australia, New Zealand and Germany - with over 3 GW digitised and 30 projects delivered. We're not done: we're extending the same platform to cover cabling, trenching and BESS construction, building toward one end-to-end digital construction management solution.

Our team
An electrical engineer whose career spans transmission network planning and operations, renewable energy construction, digital transformation and energy consulting - with roles at Eskom, Transgrid, Deloitte, Nextracker, Locusview and 5B. At Transgrid, Jenna led a team delivering a transmission investment portfolio exceeding $3 billion; she has also managed large-scale solar projects with OEMs and contractors exceeding 200 MW. She now leads Surya's product, commercial and industry strategy, drawing on a deep network across solar construction and clean energy.
A senior data engineer with deep experience designing and delivering large-scale data and cloud-based systems across manufacturing, telecommunications, consulting, banking and retail. Dhivya brings expertise across major cloud platforms and a strong background in big data architecture, performance optimisation and system reliability.
A process digitalisation manager with over 15 years' experience in project and construction management across the energy sector, including more than five years in utility-scale solar construction. Vinodh brings deep site-level subject matter expertise, keeping Surya's product grounded in real construction workflows.
