The challenge
Solmech - with deep capability across mechanical, electrical and civil works and a track record spanning gigawatts of solar installation - needed a way to manage the realities of utility-scale solar: fast-moving, distributed teams, parallel workstreams, and the need for real-time progress visibility across the 111 MW Gunsynd Solar Farm project.
The solution
When Solmech trialled the Surya digital construction platform on Gunsynd, the alignment was immediate. Surya's intuitive, adaptable interface let the team record real-time production updates while clearly distinguishing the work of each crew - dividing tasks, managing multiple processes simultaneously, and classifying activities as "Not Started," "In Progress" or "Completed." The platform also brought on-site material stock management into the same system, improving logistical control alongside planning.
The result
Surya's flexibility and efficiency made it a valuable tool on Gunsynd - proof that the platform scales to a project of any size or complexity, not just the largest sites.

“Surya has been a key tool in tracking the progress of our project at Gunsynd Solar Farm. Its intuitive and adaptable interface has allowed us to record real-time production updates while clearly distinguishing the work of each team. Additionally, its ability to divide tasks, manage multiple processes simultaneously, and classify activities... has greatly improved our planning. It also facilitates on-site material stock management, ensuring better logistical control. Without a doubt, due to its flexibility and efficiency, I would recommend it for any project, regardless of its size or complexity.”
