Surya - Digitising Solar

Building Toward End-to-End Digital Construction

September 20261 min read

Surya was built to solve a specific problem: utility-scale solar construction running on disconnected tools, when the industry building the world's clean energy infrastructure deserves better. Today, that means a configurable digital twin covering progress, materials, logistics and quality - purpose-built for tracker installation, module delivery, piling and civil works, and the multi-subcontractor coordination that comes with large sites.

But utility-scale energy projects don't stop at the PV array. Cabling and trenching remain some of the most labour- and coordination-intensive phases of a build, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) are increasingly part of the same site - competing for physical footprint and reshaping layout, yield and construction sequencing decisions from day one.

We're extending the same digital twin to cover cabling, trenching and BESS construction - moving toward one end-to-end digital construction management solution across every phase of a utility-scale energy project, rather than a tool that stops at the solar array and hands the rest back to spreadsheets.

The goal isn't to add complexity. It's the same principle that drives everything we build: one connected source of truth, so every team - from EPC to subcontractor to asset owner - is working from the same picture of what's actually happening on site, across the full scope of the project.
